This privacy policy (the “Policy”) describes how Prime Group Holdings, LLC and its affiliates (“Prime Group”) collects and uses your information. Privacy of our customers is very important to us and we want you to know how your information will be handled. This Policy applies to data you provide us when you access or use the Site and use or purchase Prime Group Products and Services, which includes becoming a tenant of one of our storage facilities. Prime Group may modify this Policy from time to time effective upon its posting. It is important that you review the Policy often.
Collection of Non-Personal Information
We may collect non-personally identifiable information regarding your visit to the Site and use of Prime Group Products and Services. We may utilize third party software to collect this information and reserve the right to change our data collection methods, providers and/or software, at any time in our sole discretion. If you do not want non-personally identifiable information collected, it may be possible for you to adjust settings on the electronic equipment you use to access the Site and Prime Group Products and Services (e.g., a stationary or mobile computer, phone or tablet) (your “Device”). However, we cannot guarantee that such settings may be changed or will be effective and you assume all risks associated with your access to the Site and Prime Group Products and Services.
Collection of Personal Information
We also collect Personal Information about you. By “Personal Information”, we mean information that can be used to identify a specific individual.
Personal Information may include device identifiers, IP addresses, or “cookies” (“Cookie Data”). This type of information, if collected, is collected through our “Tracking Technologies” described below.
Other Personal Information is what you provide to us when registering for a service or purchasing a product, such as your contact information, credit card data, driver’s license data and other information by which you can be identified.
By using the Site and Prime Group Products and Services and providing any information to us, you are acknowledging that not all portions of the Site are secure and that data transmissions via email, uploaded through a network or on the Site carry an inherent risk. We will not intentionally disclose your Personal Information, but we cannot control and will not be liable for interference by third-parties or misconduct by third parties. You agree not to provide any information through the Site and Prime Group Products and Services or email that would cause you damage or irreparable harm if it were disclosed in error or through unlawful third party actions.
How We Use Personal Information
We will use your Personal Information to enable us to provide the service or product indicated when you provided the information, such as responding to your inquiries about Prime Group Products or Services, renting a storage unit, and managing your account. We may use your Personal Information to identify you when you visit our Site and Prime Group Products and Services, to improve the operation and usefulness of our Site and Prime Group Products and Services, to enable us to improve our services and products, and comply with applicable laws and law enforcement. If you have consented, we will use your Personal Information to provide you with news about products or services we are offering, updates about storage locations or employment opportunities.
You may request that we remove your Personal Information or cease receiving communications from us by responding to the opt-out information provided on our Site, or in our emails, or by contacting us using the contact information provided below.
How We Protect Personal Information
Personal information collected via the Site and Prime Group Products and Services, or through other Members, may be stored and processed in the United States and/or any other country in which we maintain facilities, and by using the Site and Prime Group Products and Services and providing information to Members, you consent to any such storage, processing and transfer of information into and out of your country, state, and/or territory.
Generally accepted standards are used to protect the Personal Information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security and cannot be liable for security breaches.
We will disclose your information to third party vendors solely for the purpose of facilitating providing our goods and services to you (such as processing payments and managing our business needs and the Site).
Tracking Technologies
We use technologies such as cookies, beacons, tags, and scripts, to analyze trends, administer the Site and Prime Group Products and Services, track users’ movements around the Site and Prime Group Products and Services, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We may receive reports based on the use of these technologies by these companies on an individual and aggregated basis.
In addition to the other uses of Personal Information described herein, we may use cookie data to remember users’ settings (e.g., language preference), and for authentication. Users can control the use of cookies at the individual browser level. If you reject cookies, you may still use our Site and Prime Group Products and Services, but your ability to use some features or areas of our Site and Prime Group Products and Services may be limited.
Data Retention
You may request that we delete your Personal Information and after such request, we will retain and use your Personal Information only as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
We may disclose your information: (1) if we determine a violation of the Terms has occurred; (2) if we believe such disclosure is necessary to identify or bring legal action regarding or prevent injury or interference with our rights or the rights of another user of the Site and Prime Group Products and Services; (3) to respond to legal process or as otherwise required by law; and (4) to assist us in fraud protection or investigation.
You understand that information received from you may be used by us for any or all of the reasons described herein.
WE WILL NOT HAVE ANY LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR ANY DATA BREACH OR UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO USER CONTENT OR OTHER INFORMATION ON OR SUBMITTED THROUGH THE SITE AND PRIME GROUP PRODUCTS AND SERVICES.
Children’s Privacy
We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from minors and you represent and warrant that you are not providing any information about a minor.
Additional Policy Provisions for California Residents
This section (“CCPA Section”) supplements the information contained in the Policy and applies solely to users of the Products and Services who are residents of the State of California. We adopt this notice to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”) and other California laws. Any terms defined in the CCPA have the same meaning when used in this CCPA Section.
Personal Information for purposes of the CCPA Section is information that identifies, relates to, describes, references, is capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular consumer or device (“CCPA Personal Information”).
CCPA Personal information does not include (a) Publicly available information from government records; (b) Deidentified or aggregated consumer information; or (c) information which is not within the scope of CCPA.

We obtain such CCPA Personal Information from you directly or from third parties you have authorized or are necessary to provide Products or Services you have requested, and/or indirectly through Tracking Technologies. We may use or disclose CCPA Personal Information for the reasons described in the Policy. We will not collect or use CCPA Personal Information other than as disclosed pursuant to the Policy including this Section without notice to you.
Where we have disclosed CCPA Personal Information to a third party for the purposes described in the Policy or this Section, we require such third parties to treat such CCPA Personal Information confidentially and only for the purposes we have disclosed to you.
CCPA provides California Residents with specific rights regarding their CCPA Personal Information, specifically California Residents:
- Have the right to request disclosure of our collection and use of your CCPA Personal Information in the preceding 12 months:

We will respond to verified requests from California Residents pursuant to the CCPA and fulfill such requests in compliance with the law, including any exceptions that may apply such as when the CCPA Personal Information is necessary to:
- Fulfill our obligations with respect to the Products or Services you have requested or another legal obligation
- Protect against cybersecurity threats, fraudulent or illegal activity
- Avoid damage to, maintain and repair our Products or Services
- The exercise of free speech or other rights protected under the law
- Comply with the California Electronic Communications Privacy Act (Cal. Penal Code § 1546 seq.)
- The completion of scientific, historical, or statistical research you previously consented to which is in the public interest and in compliance with law
- Our right to use such information for internal purposes consistent with consumer expectations given the nature of our relationship with you or compatible with the context in which you provided your CCPA Information
You may exercise your CCPA rights described above and as otherwise provided under the law by submitting a verifiable CCPA request to the contact specified in the Policy for any privacy concerns. Such a request must be:
- Made by you or your registered agent authorized pursuant to California law, on your behalf or on behalf of your minor child
- Made no more than twice in any 12-month period
- Provide information sufficient to reasonably verify the CCPA Personal Information is yours or is your minor child’s CCPA Personal Information
- Provide sufficient detail to allow us to evaluate the request and our legal obligations and rights under the law
We will respond to verifiable CCPA requests in accordance with the requirements of the law, and reserve all of our rights under such law.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights as a California Resident, and will not deny access to Products or Services in the manner provided to all users of such Products or Services except as permitted by the CCPA.
This Section is incorporated into the Policy for California Residents only and may be amended in our discretion except to the extent otherwise required by law.

Canadian Privacy Policy
This privacy policy (the “Policy”) describes how Prime Group Canada ULC and its affiliates (“Prime Group”) collects and uses information of residents of Canada. Privacy of our customers is very important to us and is committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with Canadian privacy laws.
The Fair Information Principles
In all things, Prime Group is committed to the ten fair information principles:
Principle 1 – Accountability
We shall be responsible for personal information under our control and appoint someone to be accountable for our compliance with these fair information principles.

Applicability of Policy
This Policy applies to data you provide us when you access or use the Site and use or purchase Prime Group Products and Services, which includes becoming a tenant of one of our storage facilities. Prime Group may modify this Policy from time to time effective upon notice to you and will apply to your information thereafter if you have consented.
Prime Group Products and Services include, but are not limited to our websites www.primestorage.ca, www.primestorage.com, www.goprimegroup.com, www.goprimecommercial.com, www.shetlandpark.com, and such other websites and apps as may be created by us from time to time, as well as our storage facilities.
This Privacy Policy explains the personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we collect it, what we use it for, where we keep it, how it is secured, who has access to or uses it, and when it is disposed.

In some circumstances we may come into possession of other Personal Information when providing you with Prime Group Products and Services. For example, if a dispute arises between us, we will be in possession of information about that dispute which may constitute Personal Information.

If you provide us with Personal Information that we have not solicited, we may destroy or de-identify it.
How We Collect Your Personal Information
We collect Personal Information directly from you when you make inquiries of us or register for Prime Group Products and Services. In some cases, we work with third parties to market our storage facilities and we obtain your Personal Information indirectly from such third parties if you have purchased Prime Group Products and Services through such third parties.
We may have obtained Personal Information indirectly from you when we acquire self-storage facilities to which you have previously provided your Personal Information.
Prime Group’s storage facilities may have security cameras in place for the protection of our tenants and our facilities. In those locations, you may be recorded by those cameras.
Why We Collect Your Personal Information and How We Use It (Including Any Disclosure to Third Parties)
We will use your Personal Information to enable us to provide the service or product indicated when you provided the information, such as responding to your inquiries about Prime Group Products or Services, renting a storage unit, and managing your account.

For that reason, it is not possible to guarantee that the Site or Prime Group Products and Services, including your Personal Information, will always be secure. Use of the Site and Prime Group Products and Services, and acceptance of the Terms and this Policy, includes your acknowledgment and assumption of those risks.
Where appropriate, we may handle personal information relying on exemptions or requirements that are available under applicable law.

You may request that we delete your Personal Information and after such request, we will retain and use your Personal Information only as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements, or as permitted to protect our rights.
You have a right to access and request correction of most Personal Information that we have about you. In some circumstances it may not be possible for us to provide you with all of your Personal Information or an exemption under the law may apply. For instance, the employee records exemption may apply or we may not provide access to information if disclosing that information would impact on the privacy of another individual. Where we will not provide access to Personal Information held about you, we will tell you why.
If you think that any Personal Information we hold about you is inaccurate, you may contact us using the contact details below and we will take reasonable steps to ensure that the information is corrected. We may take steps to verify your identity before providing you access to Personal Information. You can help us to keep data about you accurate by notifying us of changes.
Any requests for access to or correction of Personal Information will be responded to within a reasonable period after the request is made.
